With self compassion and intention
make my list of dreams today
Plan for it and it can happen
Let my inner resistance melt away
Strive for life work balance—
not the other way–
Prioritize my self care
Start living my most authentic life today
Take the time
to find my happiness
Regain my sense of peace
Listen, forgive, accept myself
Be my own friend at the very least.
No matter what my trials may be
remember please
I am a human in a human experience
Give my soul
space
to be
at ease.

March 26, 2018 at 11:54 amGo for it! Set aside anywhere from 2-3 mins/day and you can easily incorporate it into your day. I find the few moments when after waking up (even if you are still in bed) before any of the kids wake up or have to start the responsibilities of the day are great moments to have a quick meditation session. Then, as you are able, extend those meditation times for 5, 10, 15 minutes. Really, it is up to you!

April 5, 2018 at 10:43 am“be your own friend at the very least”–This was so key to read. I tell people that sometimes our own self is the meanest person to ourself. Why? Some of the things we tell our own self we would NEVER let anyone tell us or tolerate anyone tell us.

April 5, 2018 at 11:25 amExactly. Our inner critic can be so harsh–and we’d never talk like that to a friend. We should not talk like that to ourselves either. Thanks, Wendy!
